New Indie Game in Development! [2010-02-08]
It's been a while since the last update to the website but there's been a lot going on since. I now have a bit of time to get some updates rolling and hopefully flesh out the content on here a little more. My DirectX shaders demo is now at a state where I'm happy with it and I've taken on some new projects. The latest (and most significant one) is a full featured game that is now in early development stages. Not too much to reveal at this time but it's the work of me and some industry collegues and should be a great demonstration of our abilities to take a game from a One Pager right through to a killer completed game. I will add more as I am able to, and at the discretion of the team as a whole, but be prepared for some great new content and eventually, a great new multi-platform game for everyone to enjoy :).
New DirectX Engine/Framework [2009-12-14]
I have currently put the website on the back-burner (it will be updated but not a top priority for now) to focus my work on a new version of my previous DirectX 9 framework (along with a few other side-projects that will be showing up on here as they near completion). The current version has undergone so many revisions and additons that the code has become a bit too sloppy for my tastes, it is inefficient, and in all honesty - needs a complete rewrite and overhaul in my opinion. So: that's exactly what's happening. The new version will be much more flexible, more strict formatting standards wil be adhered to, and I will be adding classes for both 2D and 3D rendering and gameplay elements. The focus of this framework is to build something that is simple to tailor to any DirectX project as well as a new and improved way for me to show off some of the other demos I've already put together (HLSL shaders demos - lots, a new shader pipeline, various terrain and water generation methods, collision detection, and much more!). I'll be updating my Current Projects page to reflect my progress with this whenever I get a chance. Stay tuned for updates!
